Define A Custom Search Shortcut in Google Chrome

In this post, I want to share a simple trick that you can do a search on your custom platform such as Medium, confluence, WordPress, etc.

We need to add a site search configuration in Chrome. So, you should go to the Chrome configuration in the below path.

Settings > Search Engines > Manage search engines and site search
Site Search in Chrome Settings

For example, I will use the Medium platform.

Adding A New Search Engine Configuration

After adding your site configuration, you can see your site search setting in the list.

Now, when we type “medium” in the Google Chrome address bar, chrome will understand that you want to search in the Medium platform.
